Description

One bedroom available in a fully-furnished, ground floor setting, located in a shared Point Grey character house. This cozy, garden-view home features the following, for the all-inclusive price of $1500/month:

- Private room with desk and a large bookshelf, closet with rails and shelves, a five-drawer dresser and cozy new bedding on a Sears orthopedic twin-size mattress. You will also enjoy access to the following benefits:
- Stylish, clean bathroom with tile floor, bathtub/shower, vanity and ample storage for all your toiletries.
- Complete kitchen with microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, etc.
- Clean electric stove and fridge, custom sectional couch, Sony LCD TV with USB connectivity and DVD.
- Wireless high-speed internet, cable TV channels, electricity, heat and hot water all included!
- Fresh, colourful paint and laminate flooring, privacy blinds and curtains and a lovely garden right outside!

This is a certified, licensed secondary residence, inspected and approved by the City of Vancouver. It is located in a friendly, safe residential neighbourhood on the west side of Vancouver, just a few minutes from UBC and a short drive from downtown! For those without a car, it?s directly on the #25 and #33 bus lines, with easy connections to the Canada Line, the airport and more. Pacific Spirit Regional Park is right here too, with endless forested trails for recreation and a running track in the city park across the street.
A convenience store is nearby and a public pool and gym are just two blocks away. Local shops, a library, liquor store, restaurants and multiple beaches are all within walking or biking distance.

We are a professional couple with a 13 year old child and are seeking ONE mature person to share our house with. We live upstairs with all our own furnishings and amenities and therefore only briefly and occasionally make any use of the ground level common areas during the day. You would be the sole occupant of the downstairs unit at night.

The space we?re offering has been thoughtfully prepared with everything needed for daily living and requires only that you bring your personal items. We will not be considering applicants with furniture at this time.

Further to that, to be short-listed as an applicant for this suite, we require that you honestly meet ALL of the following requirements:
- Currently employed full time or in grad school, with good references and a clean financial record
- Quiet, considerate, respectful, cooperative, security conscious and, above all, obsessively tidy and sanitary.
- No pets, no smoking, no drugs and only occasional drinks
- Prepared to commit to a long-term, mutually-beneficial living arrangement in a partially shared home
We are willing to discuss with you any criteria on this list that you cannot readily fulfill.

In order to help you save money in these tough economic times, we are offering access to 600 square feet of clean living space and amenities for the price of a room in a house! You'll get a private bedroom for your exclusive enjoyment and the use of fully-furnished common areas that we do not live in and only very briefly ever use. It's like having a roommate that is almost never there but helps you with the cost!
In summary, if you like occasional interaction with thoughtful housemates and want to maintain an orderly, clean living space in cooperation with others, this is the place! If, however, you are looking for a fully private suite in which you can be absolutely alone 100% of the time, that is not what we are offering.
